Introduction
The 47 Olympic Adventure is a center-cockpit ketch designed by the internationally known and respected designer Ted Brewer. Built by the famous Greek builder Olympic Marine S.A. she is a fully capable fully-found bluewater cruiser. With over 160 designs bearing his name the Olympic was first produced in 1974. The Olympic 47 is as suited for the ICW with her 61 off the water mast height as she is to open water. With her displacement and her Brewer Bite keel BLUEBIRD has many miles left in her giving her next owner the joy and comfort that comes from an easy motion at sea. She needs the love and attention from her next owner that will bring her back to her original beauty. Make arrangements to come see her TODAY. ALL offers will receive serious consideration.
Detailed Vessel Walkthrough
Descending through the companionway the Salon strikes you as being unusually bright and airy for a sailing yacht of this vintage. There is a pilot berth on the starboard side accessible by doing a 180 to starboard at the bottom of the companionway ladder. BLUEBIRD was modified with a built-in work bench on the port side where another pilot berth had been. Walking through the work-bench area you enter the aft owners stateroom with en-suite head and shower. Immediately at the bottom of the ladder is the galley on the port-side. There is a fully gimbaled 3-burner propane stove a large ice-box and a deep double sided S/S sink. Across from the galley on the starboard side is a large navigation booth with a swing out seat. Forward of the galley and navigation area is the salon featuring a U-shaped dinette on the port side and a 6 long settee on the starboard side. The settee would make a quarter berth which by adding a lee-cloth could serve as a berth with another person close to the cockpit so the person on watch could have help close by in case of an emergency during a night passage.Forward of the salon on the port side is a 2nd large head with a shower. The v-berth has a center board which can be placed on two ledges to close the V making a very comfortable double berth.

Broker's Comments
The vessel was a liveaboard and not sailed for at least two years. The owner was elderly and recently passed away. There is evidence of deferred maintenance due to the ill-health of the Owner. The Owners son and heir to the vessel has many hours and days of sailing and cruising on the boat but does not have the time to give her the attention the boat deserves. He has had her detailed and is in the process of confirming what systems are operable. There is no question of the quality of the construction of BLUEBIRD. She was designed and built for the sea. Any knowledgeable sailor will readily recognize a diamond in the rough. Not many were built but ALL were built to very exacting specifications. There are many many safe and comfortable miles left in this hull.
